There has been a lot of things said about P90X and the Ab Ripper X system of exercises but to recap it all, it’s the best form of exercising you can do. This is because Ab Ripper X
is based on a special system of exercises that incorporate so called
muscle confusion – a term that was coined by the creator of the P90X
program Tony Horton.
SO what exactly is this muscle confusion that Tony talks about? It’s a
method whereby the exercises are done in such a controlled, yet
unfamiliar way that they quite literally get confused and need to keep
improving. This is why P90X and Ab Ripper X are so good at
avoiding the plateau effect that plague most work out systems. You know
what I’m talking about, right? You exercise more, and yet see very
little from it? Well with Ab Ripper X and P90X, you don’t get to the
plateau as quickly as with normal exercises.
Ripper X Exercises
What exercises are part of the Ab Ripper X system? There are eleven in total and with each one requiring you to do 25 reps that means you need to go through 275 reps altogether. However, as mentioned a little earlier – it’s not about how much you exercise but about how you do it and in what order. The workout lasts for around 16-20 minutes and you should finish it as soon as you possibly can. This maximizes the effect that Ab Ripper X has on your abs.
The exercises that you will find in this program are: Fifer Scissors,
Crunchy Frog, Cross Leg Situps, Hip Rock and Raise, V-Ups, Oblique
V-Ups,Mason Twist, Leg Climbs, Pulse Ups, Ins and Outs and Bicycles.
However, the way you do each one and the way you go from one to another
and particularly the order in which they are done is what is most
important to Ab Ripper X and avoiding the plateau effect of over
exercising.
In a nutshell, if you do these exercises then you will be able to get
decent looking abs, but to get the full effect I definitely recommend
buying the entire P90X program. Simply put, while Ab Ripper X will help
you get great abs, you need to keep the rest of your body in tip top
shape as well. It’s no use having six-pack abs if you have flabby arms
or your chest looks like it should be on someone with a belly rather
than on someone who has a six-pack.
What’s In P90X?
When
you order the P90X program, not only will you get 12 videos with
exercises ranging from kenpo, yoga and core stabilization but you will
also get proper muscle toning workouts for your arms, legs and back.
This will complement the Ab Ripper X videos to a tee and make sure that
you have the best possible body.
Now a lot of these videos are available, in part on Youtube. People
who have done the the P90X program have put them up to show how they are
coming along and most of these videos have to do with the Ab Ripper X
routines. However, you will never learn as much from amateur shots as
you will when someone like Tony Horton explains things to you. He is an
amazing trainer and it’s no wonder that he has a list of celebrity
clients as long as my arm. Also, you will get absolutely everything
which includes a P90X meal guide for your 90 days of getting to tip top
shape.
Now a meal plan might not interest you that much, as there are a lot
of weight loss meal plans out there. However, you have to remember that
getting ripped and losing weight are two totally different things. Tony
will show you exactly what to eat so that your muscles will have the
energy they need to become rock hard.
Final recap of P90X and Ab Ripper X
All in all, I have done the P90X program around three times and still
do some of the exercises to keep myself fit. It has helped me gain a
great body and I highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about
looking good and staying healthy. You could only go for Ab Ripper X, but
you would be losing out on a heck of a lot more by not going with the
full program… trust me. I went that route first and I regret it. Don’t
let yourself have any regrets like I do – get the P90x program today and
change your life!
